It’s wild to think that Derek’s Destiny was intended to be a short story for Juneteenth, yet here we are, months later, still tangled up in Juniper. But I promise you, the end is near.
Still, don't worry—this won't be the last time you’ll see these characters.
(Here’s My Character Inspiration Board For The Juniper Crew)
I know you’re all curious about what’s coming for Ant and want him to find love too. So, we’re diving into his story next.
Ant's about to get his moment in the spotlight. Derek’s big brother, the one who always takes care of everyone but himself, might finally make his move and let Angel know just how he feels. But will she be open to it right now with her son still recovering? Is she even open to dating at all with an ex like Carlos?
I can’t wait for y’all to see how it all plays out.
For my paid subscribers, I’ve got some bonus scenes on the way—my way of saying thank you. These subscriptions make it possible for me to bring even more to Urban Love Stories. Like in the latest chapter of Derek’s Destiny, audio previews are just the beginning. My goal is to have each story fully narrated, and every subscription helps make that dream possible.
Oh, and speaking of dreams—I’ve been having so much fun here on Substack that I nearly forgot about my actual website, https://www.urbanlovestories.com/ . But I finally gave it some love this weekend.
Now it’s got a fresh story index, services, and digital products on the way. The site’s shaping up to be a hub where you can read, watch, and dive deep into these love stories in any format you want. Just like I always wanted it to be.
I can’t thank you all enough for being here.
When I first dreamed up Urban Love Stories, the sheer thought of how I’d do it all felt overwhelming. And yet, here I am—a one-person team, writing, editing, creating, designing—and having the time of my life doing it.
Just curious—if you could grab one of my stories as a hard copy to keep on your shelf, which one would you choose?
a) Vines of Passion
b) Derek’s Destiny
c) Promise
d) Not Nice
Let me know what you think in the comments—I’d love to hear from you. And from the bottom of my heart, thank you for being on this journey with me. Your support means everything.
Wait promise, not nice? I haven’t read them, are they on this app?
